‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God’

peacemakingIn 2006 the Methodist and United Reformed Churches produced a report titled “Peacemaking: A Christian vocation”. This explores a Christian perspective on peace and conflict in the context of new challenges facing us today.

Our priorities include supporting community development and action for justice – especially among the most deprived and poor – in Britain and worldwide.

Our world is scarred by violence and conflict. We believe that Christians have a responsibility to work for justice and peace. By showing love to our neighbours, of whatever religion, belief, nationality or culture, and through mutual respect and the development of more equitable and just economic relationships, more people will enjoy peace and prosperity.
